Pathway 2 Purpose
New Horizon is here to help you to find God's best for you. We all know that great things don't usually happen on accident. We have to purposely set our sights on what we want and pursue it. For you to find your purpose in the Kingdom of God, the Bible shows us that there are clear pathways that we need to follow. Our pathway to purpose makes it as easy as possible for you to be involved in what you need to get to God's best in your world.
Starting Point:
Life is given color through the resurrection. The cross is where it all began. Through the cross, Christ made a way for us to have relationship with God almighty. When we are in right relationship with our creator then we are on our way to be all that we were created to be. Christ loves us, forgives us and then leads us into God's best.
Commit:
Life unfolds with joy when we have lasting change. Lasting change comes through deep commitment. The Bible calls us to three commitments in the Christian life. First we commit our life to Jesus Christ, Second we commit to building God's Kingdom (the church), and lastly we commit to one another. Committing causes all change to become permanent and enjoyable. Join us in these vital commitments.
Grow:
Life is meant to be a journey of progress. We are always learning and becoming more and more like Christ. New Horizon has many opportunities for you to be learning about God and who you are in Him as well as topics on practical living. Small groups and focus seminars are some of the avenues you can be sure to keep that growth curve strong and God's best flowing in your life. Invest in yourself and grow with us.
Connect:
Life is about relationships. We are created to be connected in family like relationships. When we are close to others we are given 2 opportunities. The first is to receive support and encouragement from others and the second is to give support and encouragement. My smile is to remind you of how the Father feels when He sees you. When I hear you say that you believe in me it gives me that added strength to push through. Connect with us and join our family fully.
Serve:
Life is meant to be spent for others. Jesus said that He did not come to be served but to serve. When you are giving, helping and serving you are keeping company with Christ himself. You will find that as you spend yourself on others, your own life takes on new meaning. Join us in leaving a legacy of people who are better because you cared.
Whether you are new to Christianity or have been walking with the Lord for a while, it is important to have all 5 areas incorporated in your life. Be sure you start with accepting Christ and committing to a local church. After that, be sure to be growing in your faith through some of the great teaching available as well as connecting with those around you and serving in some area. In this way you can realize God's best for you as you follow your Pathway to Purpose.
