What Is NHCC
New Horizon Christian Center is a diverse congregation of people from the south Puget Sound region. People drive from Graham, Des Moines, Auburn, and the Peninsula along with those from the local area to attend this exciting church.
New Horizon is a local church structured with elders who help the founding pastor lead and guide the ministry of the congregation. The New Horizon Pastor and elders are also submitted to fathering relationships with other reputable Christian leaders outside of the congregation.
Pastor Dwain Wolfe, his wife Joel and their family pioneered New Horizon in 1991.
New Horizon is a non-denominational Christian Church with teachings and practices in line with the mainstream of Christianity. People from various church backgrounds attend and enjoy the clear Biblical teaching.
Pastor Dwain and Joel both grew up in ministers’ homes. Dwain graduated in 1982 from Northwest University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Business. Joel graduated in 1983 as an RN and in 1998 with a Bachelor's in Theology. Together they have served in full time pastoral ministry since 1983.
New Horizon Christian Center started with a small home meeting at the Wolfe’s in June of 1991. Official Sunday services were started in November of 1991. Since that time the church has developed numerous ministries to help people grow and succeed in life, I.E., RecoverLife, Flood Youth, Small Group Connections, Marriage Mentoring, Growing Kids, Wealth Builders classes, etc.
The church is known for its anointed praise & worship, effective prayer ministry, emphasis on lay leadership, youth and children’s ministries and its faith for interracial fellowship.
The church building sets on six acres at 5600 Valley Avenue E. in Fife. In 2004 they moved into their current ministry center, a 13,000 square foot multi-purpose building. You’ll love the contemporary look and feel.
