New Horizon has a vital reach of love into the local community.
One expression of our love for the community is our food bank. The Food bank is open every Sunday AM immediately after church for those who are in need or interested in taking a blessing to someone else. There are no forms or prequalification's. A food voucher may be obtained during church service, and those people are served through the food line first. Others are welcome to come through the line on a first come- first serve basis. Mike and Michelle Yaeger lead this aspect of our outreach ministry.
A second expression of love is our Motel ministry. We visit the Fife – Federal Way and Tacoma motels with food, prayer and encouragement each month. We invite you to join us for this ministry opportunity. Larry Blythe Sr. leads this aspect of our outreach ministry.
A third expression of love is our clothing bank. We supply many of our community families with clothes throughout the year. The clothing bank is open often after church on Sunday's and for other event. Lisa Christianson leads this aspect of our outreach ministry.
A fourth expression of love is our Community Dinner at the Thanksgiving season. This is a night of blessing the community with a Thanksgiving meal.
A fifth expression of love is our Christmas Night of Giving. This is a night of blessing the community children with Toys. Last year we ministered to 800 people and gave out 1200 toys to wonderful families. We're blessed we can be an expression of God's love at Christmas time.
Lastly in the fall our outreach ministry provide hundreds of back packs and school supplies to the children of our community. Come join in the fun during the month of August. At this event we serve a warm meal and minister to the families with hair cuts, clothing and all the blessings we can gather.
