Now we are Son’s and not Slaves
Filed under: New Creation — Pastor Dwain @ 6:16 am

The death and resurrection of Jesus changed the foundation of relationship with Father God.  He, through Jesus, made Himself vulnerable and opened Himself up to us at a deep level.  He fulfilled and abolished the law and it’s testimony against us and brought us near who were once cut off.  No more do we approach Him out of the fear of punishment.  We approach Father as dearly loved children.

The fear of punishment cannot perfect you and bring you into the soaring life God has ordained for you.  The life of a child of God is to be a life of love.  It’s when you are secure in God’s love, secure in His provision, secure in His protection that you can take risk  and even fail on your way to greatness.  Don’t let your relationship with Daddy be legalistic, out of fear or judgement.  Bask in His promises and walk in the new life He has granted you.

I John 4:18  There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

A DAY LIKE NO OTHER
Filed under: New Creation — Pastor Dwain @ 6:30 am

This day is a day we commemorate one of the most important days in history.  This is the day we commemorate the death of our Lord.  It’s amazing that the death of the Lamb of God coincides perfectly with the day of PASSOVER some 1500 years earlier.  On that day too a lamb without blemish was to be sacrificed so the children of Israel would be delivered from their bondage in Egypt (See Exodus 12).

We, who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, have been freed from slavery to bondage, oppression, sickness and the curse through the crucifixion of Jesus, the perfect man.  Today reflect on this great act of love.  Take time to thank our risen Lord in worship and reverent honor.

There would be no EASTER without the death of our Lord.  For us there would no resurrection and new life without this historic day.  We are told there is great power in considering the death of Jesus was the death of our relationship to Adam and the sinful nature.  Believe it today and live like a resurrected child of the Most High God!

WILL POWER
Filed under: New Creation — Pastor Dwain @ 7:51 am

Use your WILL?

Spirit led, Word led, Faith led or Will Led.

Maybe in the past we’ve been will led, but now we need to be Spirit led.

Your WILL is the decider.  Decision maker.  Faith follower.

Your WILL is the umpire of your heart…

Standing as the membrane between the soul and the spirit.

Your will is the rudder to the heart.

You will always have a choice as how to think and what to think about.

Romans 8:6  “set your mind on things above”

Colossians 3:1  “set your mind on things…”

Philippians 4:4  “think on these things…”

II Corinthians 10:3  “take every thought captive…”

Your tongue is the umpire to your body.

James 3:2-6  “wherever the inclination of the pilot desires…”

Mark 11:22  “You will have whatsoever you say…”

Matthew 17:21  “it should obey you…”

Matthew 18:18  “whatsoever you bind shall be bound…”

You can stop transformation
Filed under: New Creation — Pastor Dwain @ 2:05 pm

Is it possible to stop transformation ?

How do you stop the transformation?

Transformation involves two realms primarily.

The mind and the speech.

For a transformation we must combine our mind set, perspective and agreement with new speech.  Speech is the realm of covenant and where blessing and cursing is released.

Romans 10: 10  for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

2 Corinthians 10:5  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

First set your mind on your new nature…bring every thought into subjection to the reality and fact that through Christ you are a new creation.   You have new passions, new appetites, new vision, new self control, new power, new insight, new gifts, new enablement, etc.

The nature of Christ is your’s now.  You have been crucified (the old you, the carnal you , the Adamic you)  and you are now recreated in the image of Christ.

This is something you must activily submit to.  This is a reality you must seize by faith moment by moment.  When you do resurrection power will dwell in you and complete what Christ has accomplished in this great salvation!

Speech, and confession  is how we take ownership, seal contracts and release our body into an agreement to participate in this new creation accomplishement.

Futuristic confession sounds spiritual and religious, but it is not effectual for transformation.  Therefore futuristic speech is an insidious trick of procrastination.  You are speaking well, so you think, but in  fact you are putting off your full transformation indefinitely.

The confession “I’m gonna be”, prolongs what’s “gonna be” indefinitely.

Anytime you use that expression do you set anything in motion other than hope?

I’m gonna invest some day

I’m gonna have a house

I’m gonna buy a corvette

I’m gonna have a better job

I’m gonna finish my education

The way transformational faith works is that you must proclaim ownership now, not in the future.

The way transformational faith works is you proclaim the reality of your transformation

Releasing the legal reality into the manifest realm.

Releasing the legal to confront and dispossess contradictions in the manifest             realm.

II Corinthians 4:18  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.  NIV

Here are two examples of speech.  One example will hinder transformation, whereas one will release transformation now (yet it will unfold progressively).

“I am healed”

I’m gonna be healed.  I ask for healing.  I pray for healing.  I will be healed.  I trust I’ll be healed.

“I am merciful”

I’m going to become more merciful, I’m going to forgive that person, I’m praying for God to give me forgiveness,

“I am loving”

I just hope I can get more loving.  I’m believing to love those people some day.  I pray I can love them some day.

“I am patient”

I’m praying for more patience.  I sure hope to get more patient.

“I am rich” “My needs are met with abundance”

I’m believing that God’s gonna pay my bills, I’m just hoping that God comes through for me, I hope we get buy this year, I pray we don’t go under,

“I am succeeding”  “God grants me good success”

I hope I make some progress.   I’m believing for progress.  I think I’ll get some progress.  I’m trusting to fulfill some of my vision.  I hope I fulfill the vision that God gave me, etc.

“I am strong”

I’m asking for more courage.  I’m not one to take risk.  I’m praying for more strength.  I just seem to be thwarted.  I think that God has a purpose in this weakness.

“I have self control”

2 Timothy 1:7  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

“I am righteous”

In stating these expressions you are not stating something that you must talk God into.

You are not stating something He probably doesn’t want and it’s the first that God’s heard of your greedy little plan.

You are not stating something that contradicts God’s will for you.

You are not reaching up and trying to get something out of the heavens that God has been restricting you from.

You are simply agreeing with what is yours in Christ.

Agreeing with your new nature.

Agreeing with what God has said about you and done for you in Christ Jesus.

John 17:25

Matthew 16:19  “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Any contradiction to Christ is a contradiction to your new nature and a prolonging of the transformational process.

Choosing Transformation
Filed under: New Creation — Tags: — Pastor Dwain @ 2:00 pm

Have you ever procrastinated on something that would have been good for you to do much earlier?

Have you ever procrastinated on something that would have been good for you to do much earlier?

Collecting on retirement?

Picking up Medicine that’s paid for ?

Collecting on a repayment?

Running to Grandmas for presents?

Collecting on an inheritance or will?

Through the completed work of Jesus you are made a new Creature but procrastination can harm that process.

You are a new Creation.

Your DNA is changed.

Galatians 6:14  May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

15  Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.  NIV

CREATION in the concordance of greek words;  2937. ktisis, ktis’-is; from G2936; original formation (prop. the act; by impl. the thing, lit. or fig.):–building, creation, creature, ordinance.

KJV   Galatians 6:14  But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This change is real, but it’s not completed.

It doesn’t mean that everything in your life has changed already, but it is a legal accomplishment and a finished reality.

Legally you’ve been presented faultless before the Father.

Legally you have been transferred out of death into life.

Legally you have the inheritance of Christ.

But the transformation in you takes time and work.

This is what I mean by procrastination…

Some believers procrastinate for a variety of reasons.

Philippians 2:12  Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed–not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence–continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

13  for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Romans 12: 2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Transformation is the will of God.

Transformation is a guaranteed fact for those who remain in Christ til the end.

Romans 8: 29  For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

30  And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

You can get there now or you can get there later…

So if you are one of those who rather get there now (which is natural)

It’s not normal to not grow up into the image of Christ.

It’s not normal to have the same issues year after year.

It’s not normal to continue in anger, impatience, addiction, impurity, folly, hatred, drunkenness…

But it’s a reality for many of us if we procrastinate
